How Do I Pre-Order a Bulk Beef Order from Fat Black Cattle Co?
Pre-orders are open now for Whole, Half, Quarter, and 1/8 Beast tiers - plus curated Beef Boxes from 10kg to 60kg. Reserve your tier with a deposit, balance invoiced before despatch from the first harvest window.
What is the Difference Between a Whole, Half, Quarter Cow and the Smaller Beef Boxes?
Whole (~275kg dressed), Half (~138kg), Quarter (~69kg), and 1/8 Beast (~34kg) are anatomical portions - the same premium standard, sized to your freezer. Beef Boxes from 10kg to 60kg are curated assorted-cut packs for households not ready for a full anatomical tier.
What Cuts Come in a Quarter Cow Order from Fat Black Cattle Co?
A Quarter Cow includes approximately 5–7 packs of T-bone, 6–8 packs of rump, 4+ rib-eye on the bone, 2 eye fillets, 5–7 packs of y-bone, plus silversides, briskets, roasts, osso bucco, ribs, BBQ steak, diced and strips. Plus 5–7kg each of gourmet mince and premium sausages - selection varies seasonally.
Is Fat Black Cattle Co's Beef Grass-Fed?
Yes, our Premium Black Angus is pasture-raised on family-tended grass for the majority of its life, with a controlled grain finishing supplement in the final weeks for marbling and flavour. This is the standard premium Australian beef approach, not feedlot beef.
When Will My Pre-Order Be Delivered?
Pre-orders despatch from the first harvest window, exact delivery dates are confirmed by email once your tier is reserved. Cold-chain delivery direct to your door across Australia, with free freight included on every bulk-beast tier.
Do You Use Hormones or Antibiotics in Your Cattle?
No, our cattle are raised without added growth hormones (HGP-free) and without routine antibiotic use. Cattle that ever need genuine veterinary treatment are recorded separately and removed from the food-supply line.
How Long Does Pre-Ordered Beef Stay Fresh in My Freezer?
Vacuum-sealed beef from Fat Black Cattle Co holds quality in a domestic freezer for up to 12 months without loss of flavour or texture. We recommend defrosting in the fridge over 24 to 36 hours rather than at room temperature, for the best eating experience.
How Much Does a Quarter Cow Cost from Fat Black Cattle Co?
Quarter Cow pricing is locked at reservation, your pre-order deposit secures the founding-member rate, with the balance based on the final dressed weight invoiced before despatch. Buying direct from the farm typically saves 30 to 82 percent versus comparable supermarket premium cuts.
